Educational Events

Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority (WVSA) sponsors and participates in several local community events including Earth Day (Nesbitt Park and Kistler Elementary School), Luzerne County RiverFest, and ChalkFest/Hydromania at the River Common Park.
These events provide an open, opportunistic platform for teaching area students about the significance of environmental improvements and preservation. This year's Earth Day event, held on April 22, hosted hundreds of local students, many of whom participated in WVSA's Drain Ranger (Stormwater Management) Challenge.
WVSA's public outreach and education also extend beyond local events via its website along with its Twitter (@WVSAStormSewer), and YouTube channels.
