Master Watershed Steward Program

Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority (WVSA) is a proud sponsor of the Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward Program, which strengthens local capacity for management and protection of watersheds, streams and rivers by training interested volunteers in watershed management. In return for the training, participants dedicate volunteer time to educate the community about watershed stewardship based on university research and recommendations.

The renowned program earned a 2018 Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence.
