Hauled Septage
The Industrial Pretreatment Program at Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority (WVSA) manages a hauled domestic waste program in which wastewater hauling companies are permitted by WVSA to dispose of septage and sludge from wastewater treatment plants treating domestic sewage.
All hauled waste is accepted only at WVSA's wastewater treatment plant. A fee is charged for this service. Samples are collected from these loads and analyzed. The data is later used to determine waste compatibility and for developing local limits.
