If my home is uninhabitable, how can I terminate service?

Any homeowner who believes that a building is not properly classified for billing purposes may request an inspection of the property to determine its applicable status (e.g., correct number of Equivalent Dwelling Units (EDUs), habitability, etc.). If the property is determined to be uninhabitable, current sewer fee charges will be stopped until the property becomes habitable. However, the property will continue receiving a bill for the stormwater fee (based on impervious area). If the property is razed, the EDU's account will be terminated. Any previous sewer and or stormwater fees due at time of account termination, along with any penalty, interest or lien charges will remain with the property and owed to the WVSA.
